 1. Who can join the organization?

Anyone who shares the same passion to make a difference in a child's life. You must also pass a thorough FBI-level background check.

 4. Can I be a
part of the organization, but not really a member?

Yes, but it's case by case, for select events, with prior approval by the officers.

 7. Are all 
events mandatory?

Only events declared by the GOC President as such are mandatory.

 10. How can I donate?

Donations can be made on our website via paypal, or mailed to the address on the contact page. Other arrangements can be made by contacting the chapter president whose contact info will also be posted there.

 13. Who do I speak to about having the GOC visit and speak at my facility, church, children's home, PTA, etc?

Please contact the president of the chapter of your area. The Gastonia chapter's contact info is posted on the contact page.

 2. What experience is needed to become a member?

No experience is needed - only the desire to commit to our cause.

 5. Can I join in all the events, even if I'm 
just a supporter?

Yes, as long as you successfully pass a thorough background check.

 8. Who do I speak to
about joining?

Our chapter's contact info is kept updated on our contact page. For membership info, contact any member of the chapter and they'll put you in touch with the right people.

 11. Is the GOC a
501c3 organization?

Yes, we are a charitable organization with 501c3 status. Your donations to the GOC are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

 14. How can I start a
chapter in my area?

Please see the chapter contact section or the local ambassador contact posted on the national website at www.guardiansofthechildren.com.

 3. Do you have to have
a motorcycle to join?

Owning one isn't required, but you do need access to one.

 6. How long does a
new member have to wait to get patched?

All members are required to go through a 6-18 month support period prior to being eligible for a patch.

 9. Does this organization
get together just to

hang out and go for rides?

We primarily mentor and support children that are of the GOC Family. We also support our partner events such as Toys for Tots and Patriot Guard rides. Occasionally we may get together for a fun ride.

 12. Where does the
money go?

All proceeds from fundraising events are used to further the mission of the Guardians of the Children. Find out more about what we do here.
